Codata Factsheet | Namur city centre (BE)

Each month, Codata selects a city centre that has been recently studied by our team of data-collectors in order to share the latest trends observed on site.

Last April, our data-collectors went to the capital of Wallonia and they studied the three commercial sites that make up the city centre of Namur (727 locations):

• Shopping streets (704 locations)
• Galerie Jardin d’Harscamp (12 locations)
• Gare de Namur (11 locations)

It is the second consecutive year that we have observed a decrease in the commercial vacancy rate of the city centre. Between 2022 and 2023 the percentage of vacant shops has diminished from 14.8 % to 14.1 %.

In the latest study in Namur, 183 retailers were listed for an occupancy rate of 32.8 %, down 1.2 points since the previous study.
